Hospice focuses on caring and comforting. It is the very best that can be provided during advanced stages of illness to ease the pain of a loved one and ensure highest quality of life. Hospice caregivers are specially trained to help in this stage of life and can also assist families during a difficult time.

How does hospice work?

Our skilled nursing team works with a hospice agency of your choice to provide personalized end-of-life care. We develop a plan to meet the patient's needs including managing pain and other symptoms for the highest level of comfort. A hospice team is usually made up of a physician, nurses, aides, counselors, therapists, and others who are here to help as needed.

What services are provided?

  • Listening and sharing your experience

  • Managing pain and symptoms

  • Assisting with psychosocial aspects of end of life

  • Providing medicine, supplies and equipment

  • Coaching family on how to care for their loved one

  • Delivering special services such as therapy if needed

Who pays for hospice?

Hospice care may be covered under Medicare, Medicaid, most private insurance plans and other managed care organizations. We will help you explore the options for payment of hospice services.
